Good dig Bill. Cant remember for sure, but thought there was a "WCG in The News" Thread lurking somewhere. If anyone finds it again, let's append these messages there as it gives an idea of how many there were.

nice article, but isn't the number of active units and members exaggerated? if it is, i think we are better off staying with the true numbers.

They used the number of device registrations. In typical reporter fashion, they just went for the biggest number they could quote.
It's a valid statistic, although describing it as "the total number of grid participants" is misleading. |

I know that they always quote the registered number of devices install which is misleading, but any publicity at the moment is good publicity. I would still like to see WCG offered as a free download in the same manner as the google tool bar is.
