Re: Unable to upload work unit

GB010528,

Your problem is different then the others. The upload of a file occurs in two stages:

1) Stage one is to connect to the file_upload_handler and check to see if any part of the file has already been upload and if so, only upload the remaining part of the file.

2) Stage two is where the file is actually uploaded.

In your case, you get through the first round of communications just fine - it is during the second round that things fail.

I noticed that all of your computers have previously had worked validated and have earned credit. When did you start having problems? Additionally, are all of the computers having a problem on the same network?

thanks,
Kevin

I first had problems about 24 hours before I first posted in this thread on Nov 6, 2007 6:32:10 PM

Additionally, are all of the computers having a problem on the same network?

I have 3 computers that I use on my home network. Originally all of them had the same problem. When I took the 2 laptops to work they uploaded fine from there. Since then one of the laptops that is only running dddt has started uploading fine from home but the other 2 do not. As the work units for the desktop have passed their report deadline I have switched to the profile that only runs dddt and reset the project and will see what happens.

Re: Unable to upload work unit

When was the last time you rebooted your router or firewall?

This problem sounds like it is local to your home network.

Re: Unable to upload work unit

Has this issue been resolved? I have been having the same problem and have been watching this thread but there hasn't been any new posts in the last few days. I'm not sure if I need to try the "new" client, go back to the .16 client, or do something else.

Re: Unable to upload work unit

I just upgraded to the newer BOINC agent mentioned above. Should know if it works in 4 or 5 hours when the next work unit completes
