Date Problem

I run Windows XP and while checking out some dates on the Windows calender I accidentally hit OK (instead of cancel) while I was looking at the March 2008 calender. This screwed up my computer date. I caught my error very quickly and returned the calender to the correct date. However, now when I look at the WCG stats on my computer the chart shows Mar 8, 2008 at the bottom of the chart. I tried deleting WCG and reinstalling but this had no effect on the screwed up date. What can I do to fix this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Date Problem

Goto the BOINC folder, and look for files like "statictics_......xml" Open the WCG one. You will see a lot of entries with <day>...</day> as part of them.

Likely It is the very las entry that needs to be deleted. But it will be the entry with the highest value in the <day> line. Delete entire section with <daily_statistics>....</daily_statistics>.

Likely you would want to backup the file before editing it.

Re: Date Problem

Likely you would want to exit BOINC while editing anything. Not sure, but if running thru the next day, the local statistics date would probably have gotten fixed automatically.

Re: Date Problem

I have deleted the stray data from the statistics file (after making a copy of the file and shutting down WCG) and everything looks good now. Thanks for the help!
