Yesterday was the first time I got one of these work units for this project I keep getting this error message all the time.. basically 1 core was not getting any work done at all cause of this..
10/30/2007 6:29:58 AM|World Community Grid|Restarting task ach1_4_19_49 using acah version 514 10/30/2007 6:31:08 AM|World Community Grid|Task ach1_4_19_49 exited with zero status but no 'finished' file This is the first workunit I had to actually abort to get things running smoothly again.. and as of now I removed my systems from this project till further notice... running Boinc V 5.8.15 if that means anything... |

You say all the time.... what interval.... fixed number of hours, minutes. If you post the series of these zero entries we'll be able to say more ( hope so)
----------------------------------------Added: 1 core only? It's generally a timekeeping issue of the computer. You may want to upgrade to the latest official version. Some work was done to remove some occurrences of this at times misleading message, but in your case it must be skipping back to the previous checkpoint.

The messages would be different, but do check if you got enough space allocated on disk for the project and the 'keep free' space does not represent a conflict.
----------------------------------------If you look on the Result Status page, do more copies in the quorum have a short run time / error return? (Click on Work Unitname to see quorum detail) Upgrade: Simply install. You wont even have to stop BOINC. The installer will do it for you and retain all work in progress/buffer.

When I looked at the quorum I seen errors, no replies, and inconclusive results reported by other systems it was assigned to. I got pleanty of HD space and I got it set to the default of 40 GB that can be used for BOINC I have no special conditions enabled as far as space goes. could be just the older version I been using.. will upgrade.. add project back and see what happens next.. will keep you posted if I come across more issues.. |

Hi Sekerob,
Giving you an update.. the client upgrade went well.. I seen I had a another ACH WU went through.. and with 0 errors in the log.. guess old verison was the problem. I checked the quorum on this 2nd workunit and it looks very good it will pass I got pending vaildation this time and most systems this latest workunit assigned to is pending as well.. I like the few enhancements it has.. noticed the little status bars now with the progress texts and the status running high priority when the system is given a rush work unit... I am sure I will be seeing much of those from this project. I hope Berkley will include a little client upgrade notification in the future for new projects that require a newer versions. another thing I noticed with this latest version is that is queues up 3x the work the old version did.. I like it like that.. back to my regularly scheduled cruching.. which is full time 24x7 with or without using system.. |
