If you add a few cubes of maggi (beef or chicken stock, or both), it will add to the taste as well ,yummy. ![]() (only don't add any more salt, taste. Oh my gosh! I can't stand smelling the bread baking...it is to delicious! I am on the last loaf now, and my eyes want to close..LoL
----------------------------------------But I be leaving soon to test this new recipe from a dear sweet lady from Australia. The vegimite just wouldn't blend in with the sausage, peppers and onions..so I left it for last...just put it on top of the cheeses like pats of butter, is that the way? Everything rolled up great, and then when I put the egg wash on right before putting in the oven, I sprinkled a good amount of sea salt on..just to be sure...cuz you said add more salt. I thought to myself, seems like a lot of salt in this recipe, but Christine said, "Be sure to add more salt before you taste it." So i did!! I hope they like it...I'm not gonna tell them that I had help from a friend unless they start raving how good it is! Then I'll stand up and tell them the secret ingredient: Christine Comes From A Land Down Under![]() ![]() |

DON"T add salt as vegemite is already salty, TASTE it bEFORE adding more salt. The cheese idea is brilliant, vegiemite tastes yummy with cheese. Kraft Cheeses make special Vegiemite Cheese Sticks to tuck into school lunches . Scally love Vegiemite and so does Missy. ![]() |

And everybody LOVED the Vegimite Sausage! They said it was the best yet. And I've made it for 12 yrs straight!
