This means that since the launch of World Community Grid, every second of every minute, approximately 2 to 3 results are returned to World Community Grid from our members to help humanity. Your contributions are helping to make a significant difference in the way researchers are finding solutions to benefit humanity. To celebrate the 200,000,000 result event, A Team Challenge has been started: THE 200 MILLIONTH RESULT RACE: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/challe...lenge.do?challengeId=1381 In addition, we are going to do the following: 1. The member who returns the 200 millionth result will receive a World Community Grid t-shirt and a Thank You certificate. 2. If the member who returns the 200 millionth result is part of a team, the team captain of that team will also receive a World Community Grid t-shirt and a Thank You certificate for their assistance in rallying support. 3. The team captain of the team that wins “THE 200 MILLIONTH RESULT RACE” challenge will receive a World Community Grid t-shirt and a Thank You certificate for their assistance in rallying support. 4. The member name of the winners will be posted on this thread unless they wish to remain anonymous. When the 200 millionth result is returned, we will notify the winning member via email and ask for their permission to post their member name on the website so that everyone may know who won. The same process will be followed for the winning team captains. The member names of the winners will be posted as an attachment to this Member News post and on the What’s New on the home page. If the winners do not respond within 7 days, or have an invalid email address, then the member who returned the 200,000,001 result will be the winner (and so on until we identify a member who responds). We hope that this event will be fun and we thank everyone for every result that has been returned. All of your combined contributions have made World Community Grid a success by advancing humanitarian research. THANK YOU!!!!! Note: World Community Grid support people, including CA’s, are not eligible to win. |
