Greetings,
----------------------------------------We are increasing the runtime of the BOINC work units. Previous average runtimes: DDD-T 6.3 Hours FAAH 5.5 Hours HPF2 5.5 Hours We have increased the lengths to be closer to a 7 hours average. This means that DDD-T work units will appear to run 10% longer. FAAH and HPF2 will appear to run 25% longer than before. Thank you for participating in World Community Grid! -Uplinger Great move!!! I have gone from the previous average of about 5 to 6 hours on HPF2 to a new time of 9 to 10 hours each! Sure hope we don't get any more favors! ![]() "Everything in moderation, including moderation" -- Mark Twain |

Relax, man. I've got slow machines and one of them just hit 40 hours for a dddt work unit. It is just the way it is.

As of last night:
----------------------------------------Be aware that the values for FA@H and HPF2 are a mix of UD & BOINC agents. Separate values are not at disposal.

Was not shared with us, but suppose there is some foresight involved. Can see things like
----------------------------------------1. Additional projects.... standby, one's near ready to launch. 2. Fair share of projects promotion.... job durations not a motivation to switch. 3. Easier adjusting of project ratios. 4. Reliable Work Unit volume handling. The system at this time is solid and designed to be that way to handle 300,000 work units and upward, hands down. Short work-units like we had with Genome comparison quickly eat thru that. That said, the system is designed after lots of work early this year by the WCG crew, to be easily scalable, so if growth continues, it's all ready to go. My guess, maybe knreed or other tech would want to confirm or debunk one or the other
