Back on!

This is a great project!

Unfortunatly I stopped late in May crunching...
My computer died of a harddrive meltdown.
(The kind where the harddrive melts for real due to overheating)

And after I got things up and running again I just plain forgot about
worldcommunitygrid.

But the grid didn't forget about me!!!
Got a reminder e-mail.

I see that HDC and Genome is gone, but FAAH is still here
and HPF2.

Looking forward to making my computer solve even more WUs.

Re: Back on!

so keep an eye on the temps so it doesn't happen again!

btw, i mostly use the old heatsinks for HDD without the coolers...but on the main HDD (Win XP partition) it has the functional coolers!

Re: Back on!

Similar story here. I think the previous incarnation of the s/w didn't like my office proxy setup, but I'm working just fine now with this new BOINC client on a newer PC. It was the recent email that prompted me to have a look again at the site and try again. Not running on the fastest machine in the world (P4 2.66Mhz), but every little bit helps I suppose.

It sure does! That's the beauty of grid computing - all the "little bits" add up to a whole lot wink
