I return from exile to bring sad news concerning the wife of one of our WCG crunchers, Vester (Teddies) - who is both well known here and throughout the crunching community.
----------------------------------------Johnnie, passed away today of heart failure after illness, and she is survived by her loving husband, Vester, and her 2 sons Vic and Steven. A quote from Vester at another place: Johnnie was born in Anderson, SC, on 24 January 1942, graduated from Anderson Girls' High School in 1960, obtained a M. S. Education (1978) and a M. A. Education (1979) from the University of Southern Mississippi. We married 23 May 1964. We have two sons, Vic and Steven, and four grandchildren. The daughters-in-law are Yumiko Tsugit Thacker and Jennifer Tate Thacker. I will love Johnnie forever. I'm sure you will all join me in expressing our symapathy to Vester and his Family at this sad time, and also in tribute to such a remarkable woman. Our heartfelt wishes go to Vester and his family at this tragic time.
Johnnie was a cruncher as much as most of us, she will be missed. |
