Is there a posted list of the CA's email addresses or one that can get me in touch with someone with enough knowledge of the app to answer questions? I mean one where I can actually get in touch with a person in that day. Using the "contact us" on the main page is hit and miss.

Hello Movieman,
Not that I know of. Every week the staff emails a list of queries made about a project in the project forum to the project scientists so that the project scientists are aware of queries even if they are too busy to read the website. Lawrence |

Lawrence Hi Lawrence: Ok, how do I get ahold of someone to ask a question that I don't want to post in the open forum? I've tried the "contact us" on the front page and evidently that isn't manned daily. ![]() |

Hello Movieman,
'Contact us' will draw an eventual response. How fast it works all depends on who's traveling, what is going on, etc. Lawrence |

I've been told that your question is in my 'inbox' in the support mailbox. I should be able to get to it later today.

I've been told that your question is in my 'inbox' in the support mailbox. I should be able to get to it later today. Thank you. It's just very frustrating when you need info fast and now have been waiting over 36 hours for a response. I know thats not your fault but we live in an information age where 36 hours is an eternity. There has to be something put in place where information can be received in a quicker timeframe. ![]() |

One possible solution is plentiful trained, competent IT personnel working at minimum wage. Sorry, I don't really mean to sound sarcastic. I was chuckling when I wrote my first sentence.
It is a universal problem. IT people are always overworked and have to carefully prioritize. Like a Looney Tunes cartoon with a character running from one wobbling stack of dishes to another, whacking them back upright. Lawrence |

Maybe someone to do a pre-sort and see if anything that needs answering immediately gets to the right person? My issue wasn't life of death but the timetable of getting the info was tight to accomplish what I wanted to do. The almost 40 hour timeframe to response killed what I had planned. No one's fault, not the end of the world, but it could have been made to work had I received the info in the first 24 hours. Let's take this a step further: Suppose I needed info on WCG to give in a last minute presentation to a large company. You know how that works. They call you at 4:45PM and say be here at 9am with all your info. I have solicited more than 40 companies in Southern NH and that is a possible scenario. I think I have everything they'd need but who knows what your going to be asked for at the last minute. There are times where you just need to be able to get someone fast that has the info you need. Ok, I'll stop being a PITA and go away now but it would be nice if someone with the power to fix the issue got to see this thread.. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Movieman at Sep 27, 2007 1:24:46 AM] |
