Re: Not Boinc/ Re-registered/ Not connecting

Just for a point of information. I have one machine which continues to get DDDT units at 128 mg of memory. It takes between 12 to 15 hours to complete a unit. It is a 933mhz PIII with Win 2000 with BOINC 5.4.11. I let the windows manage the swap file. If you intend to do anything else on the machine while it is crunching, I would not recommend this setup, but it does crunch fine and continues to get wu's.

Cheers

Hey, Retsof,

Guess what- it worked!!!

"Kick your windows swap file (virtual memory) up to 1.5 Gb or 2 Gb or so. Others have managed to get BOINC working that way if they only have 256Mb of physical memory."

WOO-HOO!!!

thanks! i'm so happy to be crunchin' again, and it was really easy to do!!!

WOO-HOO!!
