Display problem with screen saver

Just downloaded the boinc client 5.8.15 yesterday and the screen saver is not drawing properly on the screen. Running XP pro, SP2. Also, when I got back to my machine this morning it was hung ( I couldn't get the screen back). Unfortunately I have no log messages prior to my forced re-boot this morning.

Anybody got similar problems?

Henri

Re: Display problem with screen saver

Can you tell a little about the hardware: Video ram size, total ram, CPU type/speed.

What project was running?

Did you allow the proper screensaver sequence in case you only do computing during idle time.

1. Start computing after X idle minutes
2. Start Screensaver after X+1 minutes

Are all your screendrivers up to date, OpenGL, DirectX etc ?

The messages from before it hung are in the stdoutdae.txt file of the BOINC program directory. If you post those, we may get a better 'picture'.
