I have installed the Boinc agent on a machine that's had the UD agent running for some time. After installation, it just sits there. When I use the Update button to see it can get some work, I get the following message in the log:
9/6/2007 12:56:03 PM|World Community Grid|Message from server: Invalid or missing account key. Visit this project's web site to get an account key. I've installed the Boinc agent on another machine here and I didn't have this problem. When I try the "attach to project" function, it says I'm already attached. Bill |

UD could be configured with 5letter pass...
----------------------------------------BOINC on the other hand need 8letter pass for the account & letter-number combination! see if that is your problem... |

I already have one other machine running Boinc, but I checked the profile anway and, yes, there's a Boinc account ID there.
Detaching from the project and reattaching did the trick. It's off and running. Thanks! Bill |
