Hey everyone.
Global warming is a bomb that gonna explose on our kids. So WE HAVE TO STOP ALL COMPUTERS WORKING ON FUEL AND COAL. Only PC working on nuclear power should work for WCG. If you care about energy, why don't you all complaign against your governments ? In France, we have to continue leading in Nuclear Power, it is the only energy that could save the earth... Secondly, we have to all league against SETI@HOME project. These idiots burn coal to look for.... NOTHING. It is impossible extraterrestrian life can exist, moreover their communications couldn't come to us and finally they wouldn't be interested in us. SO WHY DON T THEY SHUT THEIR COMPUTERS DOWN ! We have to league against those stupid polluters. How ? |

HMM, just nuclear huh? I wouldn't take a poll on that anywhere around Chernobyl or 3 mile island in Pennsylvania..
---------------------------------------- I also guess that hydroelectric,solar and wind power are no good since you just champion nuclear? Coal polutes yes, but nuclear polutes forever my friend and if it gets out of control as we have seen it can the outcome is so catistrophic that we don't want to imagine it. Actually, we don't have to imagine it, we've seen it happen and that scares me more than what comes out of a coal smokestack ever will.  |

On a good day from a tall hill I can see a nuclear plant. Does not bother me one bit.

djibeXX, have you considered that current nuclear technology works by generating heat?
----------------------------------------Or that simple activity by humans also generates heat. The overall global warming issue is more complicated than just blaming one sector of human activity, and probably will not be resolved until we get better at harnessing the heat in our environment for energy production instead of generating excess heat for this purpose. And for what it's worth, I live less than 8 miles from 3 reactors and have not had any problems with the facility. The human error and poor design behind the TMI & Chernobyl events probably belongs in a different thread. |
