Hello Wilgard
----------------------------------------You seem to be a hard worker of our "cause". Seeing how you're trying to take more work units to avoid that your client stop working for more than 1 second. Perhaps you should try this : Raise the number of "additional work buffer" to 2 or more with the 5.10.20 in the network settings, that should allow you to take more than 10 units. work good Sekaiji [Edit 1 times, last edit by Sekaiji at Sep 4, 2007 2:19:04 PM] |

Hello, I have configure my agent to get the "maximum output" possible. But usualy my agent get 8 or 10 units by day. I would to get more than 10 units, but something like 20 or 25. As, I have explained in another message, I use the computer of my compagny to crunch the unit and 10 results is not enough for a day. It can crunch something like 12 units a day. So, may be I can configure the "custom ouput" to get more than 10 units or by another way. Thanks to you Wilgard Hi Wilgard Seems like you want to boost your BOINC queue.. your system's ablity of sending results out a day would count to your total not how many you have queued up.. if you have a large queue in BOINC you have a chance of most your queue to pass the deadlines given to WU.. I am sure if you set a network connect days the deadline dates may increase. the only time you want to build a queue is if your PC will not be connected to a lan.. since you are using a company system which I believe is always connected to a network.. your computer will still output the same and you may have a queue of 2 - 3 work units or more depending on projects you are doing and you hardware power.. right now I got 2 tasks running (dual core) 3 in queue with a 4th on the way.. which will go back to 2 in queue with 2 new ones processing.. system reported 4 so far today waiting for vaildation.. to me 1 WU per core held in queue is more then enough so any lan issues if one WU gets done another can start without a issue.. to me it is a perfect setup.. |
