World Community Grid - View Thread - BOINC to run in screensaver mode only?

Hello,

We are now one year later after the last post talking about this problem and i have this problem today when i downloaded the last BOINC program on my computer.

It is not possible to apply that the BOINC program work only as screesaver !
This is a shame , i think. The problem must be revolve yet ! :((((

Actually it should work, but the sequence needs to be a little special and a Start Here FAQ explains.

1. Set an idle time from which BOINC should start computing say 3 minutes.
2. Set the kick in of the screen-saver a little later, say 4-5 minutes. Make sure to have chosen the BOINC.scr as the screen-saver.
3. Obviously the energy saving option should be set again at a longer time than the previous 2, else you'd never get to see anything.
