Dear all. Lately the BOINC client on my laptop hangs from time to time. Upon checking the message log, I found the following error message being mentioned almost every minute:
25/08/2007 9:22:18 a.m.||Can't rename current state file to previous state file; Cannot create a file when that file already exists. (0xb7) Could someone please help me with this? Thanks in advance. :) |

Try manually deleting the file client_state_prev.xml

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have decided to reinstall BOINC agent instead. While downloading the new project, I noticed this little weird thing:
wcg_hpf2_rosetta_5.18_windows_intelx86 - 19.17 / 15.99MB 100% completed It appears that BOINC is still downloading the 15.99MB Rosetta file despite having finished doing so quite some hours ago! Cheers |

Is the network connection momentarily set to 'always on' (activity menu)? If not, and you hit the Update button, the line gets opened for 5 minutes, after which it automatically goes back to 'scheduled' connection or 'off'.
----------------------------------------Presuming you see the download status in the Tasks tab, are there any other parts in the Transfer tab still waiting to download?
