I wanted to know this. I ant the World community Grid agent take as much as he can of the cpu. But in Task manager he uses only 50% of my cpu. What i should do? It's regular? I know a portion is used by the OS and other programs, but it is possible to increase?
Second question What are the differences between World community GRID agent and BOINC? Are they the same or they are 2 individual clients? and if they are individual, which one is better? |

They are different.
You posted in "BOINC Support", so I will assume you are using BOINC. To do the most for World Community Grid, go here: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/v...iguration.do?name=Default and set your profile to "Maximum Output". It will take a little time before your agent picks up the new setting, but when it does you will be running at 100%. |

If your processor is a P4 HT don't worry any longer: the 50 % reported by Windows' Taskmanager is wrong; it means 100 %.
----------------------------------------And if you want to know why you did right choosing Boinc see this topic and the rest of the thread where it is. UD agent vs Boinc Cheers. Jean. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by JmBoullier at Aug 22, 2007 3:52:52 PM] |
