For the last two days, my BOINC agent has given me the message that there is no work available, but there are work units for other platforms. I can't believe there is nothing from FAAH... Is this a problem with my OS X computer or with WCG?

Hi wilksterman,
This is in Member News: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=15511 http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=15591 In brief, we are switching from AutoDock 2005 to the new AutoDock 2007. Work units configured for the old AutoDock will not work with the new AutoDock, and vice-versa. So we are running out all the old work units, then we will download the new AutoDock code with work units configured to run on it. We should be releasing the new work units soon. The graphics are supposed to work in the new OS X application. Lawrence |

....there goes another one who cannot be bothered to take the trouble to read the Members News and expect to be waited on without having to do any thing for themselves....grrrrr

Note:
If you have a PPC MAC, checking the box, "If there is no work available for my computer for the projects I have selected above, please send me work from another project (this option only applies to BOINC agents)." won't do anything since FAAH is the only project available for the PPC MAC. |

But the same question asked time after time because you are a lazy tyke who cannot be bother to do things for themselves is also a PITA and makes me feel like being rude to types like you who are too important and too busy to think for themselves!  |

I have more important matters in my life than sitting and sifting through all of the forum news. and from another BOINC support thread: Shutdown errors and time lost are not of concern to me. When the client runs as it should, then fine. That problem is yours, not mine. One doesn't want to read. Another doesn't want to follow suggestions. This might be a good time to point out the search box in the upper right. Enter a search word or two to find messages of interest that have already described and solved your problem. The advanced Search in the center bar can also search for posts by one member. This may help keep threads on track, and not scatter the same topics all over the forum. Since y'all HAVE scattered the same topics all over the forum, I can't give you a link to a consistent place.
