The Genome Comparison Project has officially been moved to the Completed Research section. It can now be viewed here. This project, which launched on November 16, 2006, ran for just over 8 months. During this time 146,000 members will have donated 3,800 years of computer time on 280,000 different computers. This is a significant contribution to helping scientists better understand human genes, how they play a role in disease processes, and ultimately in understanding how to devise drugs to combat human diseases. Thanks again to all our members who contributed to this project!

The Research Participants for the Help Defeat Cancer project have posted an update on the results of their research. More results will be posted in the Research section as they become available.

The download page now lists the version of BOINC that will be downloaded. Existing members can check this to see if World Community Grid is recommending a newer version of the BOINC agent than what they are currently using.

The Device Statistics section has been moved under My Statistics in the My Grid section of the site.

Team Captains can now set both the start and end date for Team Challenges. Team Challenges can be up to 180 days in length. In addition, an email will be sent to the captains of teams being challenged (provided they've opted to receive Team Emails).

Finally, members can now filter Team Statistics by Type of Team and by Team Country. Just pick the statistic category you want, and then select the filter to be applied.
