BOINC Program Installation Problems

crying Help! I downloaded BOINC from WCG and tried to load it, and its locked itself, with a long list of errors, I cannot delete it, cannot get it to install or anything else. I have also installed the United Devices program from WCG and it's performing fine.

Re: BOINC Program Installation Problems

Simon, this error is frequently an indicator of an underlying problem with your computer - a corrupt registry or damaged profile. This is the first time I have seen this error relating to BOINC. The error means "Could not register component."

I would advise giving your computer a health check.

oogle on the "error 2908 windows xp" as it is a Windows issue. Seems to relate to ".Net" Framework.
