Help! I downloaded BOINC from WCG and tried to load it, and its locked itself, with a long list of errors, I cannot delete it, cannot get it to install or anything else. I have also installed the United Devices program from WCG and it's performing fine. |

can you post the long list of errors and tell us which Windows operating system you are doing the install on?

Simon, this error is frequently an indicator of an underlying problem with your computer - a corrupt registry or damaged profile. This is the first time I have seen this error relating to BOINC. The error means "Could not register component."
I would advise giving your computer a health check. |

oogle on the "error 2908 windows xp" as it is a Windows issue. Seems to relate to ".Net" Framework.
