Storage

Does anyone know how to change the "Storage Performance" for my grid? I got a pretty big HD but my storage is rated at 0.98Gb, ave is 5Gb. I'm pretty sure I didn't choose this.
Also, how come my Processor performance changes every time a new task begins?
Thanks in advance to the community advisor!

Re: Storage

You can change this in your device profile. It is limited to 10 GB, but this statistic is meaningless and WCG currently use only a tiny fraction of this. You're performance changes each time a task begins because the UD Agent runs a quickie benchmark right before it returns a work unit. The result of this depends on what is going on on your system at the time it is run, so the calculated performance changes.

Re: Storage

Thanks Dave. Guess that means the overall performance is not really accurate or consistent througout the crunch process. And if the point award system depends on performance x time , then thats not accuate either since performance changes as you start/end applications?
Thanks,
J
