Jean reported the familiar 1073741819 error, but leaves out the bracketed code, which per oogle search could have been (0xc0000096)) too. Sekerob, I have added the full error message to the other thread. This message was 2007-09-25 01:10:31 [World Community Grid] Reason: Unrecoverable error for result dddt0101a0097_ZINC01850158-0002_02_4 ( - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005)) so this is not the code you expected. Anyway I do not see well the analogy between the problem reported here and mine but after all, who knows? ![]() Cheers. Jean. |

The second part Jean. As said your error could also have been a (0xc0000096)).
----------------------------------------(0xc0000005)) = Access violation (0xc0000096)) = Unhandled exception of some sort: Per a post on Seti http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=34990&nowrap=true#445222 The 4th condition given "* A bad Work Unit (usually a rare occurrence). (everyone would have them then)" was in your case applicable, but here it was only me, so consider it just a fluke in association with the power flipping.

No problem Sek. First I should have given the secondary code right from the beginning. Second, providing it after your comment gave me an opportunity to bump my thread in hope that the "access to internet" question ever gets an explanation...

What version of BOINC did you obtain?
----------------------------------------Usually going to the Advanced menu in BOINC manager and Detaching from WCG and re-attaching to http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org than selecting that existing member box and giving ID / password corrects that problem.
