I am wondering if rich people are going to buy the best land on the moon and on Mars? Perhaps to put up hotels etc.
Or is it all public property? |

George W. Bush is shrewd: Send the first US manned vehicles to the moon, along the way plant the items that were always invisible from Hubble photography. After, survey the lands and ensure he's got the pieces where his company can drill for

You can't buy the moon.
Just to be quite sure about it, there's a treaty: Agreement Governing the Activities of States on the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies - but very few nations have ratified it. However, the Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies (or the Outer Space Treaty) has been ratified by nearly all nations, including all space-going nations. Article II Outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies, is not subject to national appropriation by claim of sovereignty, by means of use or occupation, or by any other means. So, anyone trying to sell land on the moon, is quite simply, a charlatan. It's bogus, fake, illegal; you cannot buy land on the moon, Mars, or anywhere else. |
