My website -- www.velek.com -- which promotes grid computing and primarily focuses on the World Community Grid, begins with a video about the WCG. It has worked fine for me for over a year, but for some reason I can no longer get the video to work with my Netscape browser. It still works fine with Internet Explorer. I don't have other browsers, so I don't know if it displays with them and would appreciate someone letting me know if there is a problem with any browser. Anyway, regarding Netscape, instead of the video there is a message "Click here to get the plug-in", and doing so takes me to the "Plug-in Finder" website which does NOT help me find the plug-in I need. I'm still using Netscape 7.2 because I don't like the newer versions, and I prefer it to I.E., too.
Any help will be appreciated. As for my website, I know it is amateur hour, but I don't know how to design a better site and I don't have the time to learn. Thanks for any help. Cheers. |

Hi Bill,
I loaded a VM up with windows xp on it with media player 9 and installed Netscape 7.2 and it played fine. I then upgraded to media player 11 and it still worked just fine. So I'm thinking your media player plug-in got messed up. I would use Firefox over Netscape if I were you. You may like it better than Netscape plus much more development going on with Firefox. ![]() |

ported from other thread where appended in error:
----------------------------------------Bill, Looked yesterday and see 4 add-ins from the redmondians in my Firefox plug-in folder. unicows.dll (which seems rather new and love the name ;>) npwmsdrm.dll npdrmv2.dll (also very new) npdsplay.dll I expect them to work for Netscape. I did have to permit scripting for your site as it did give a dll error prior when it tried loading the WM player.
