"I lost the root partition on one of my Linux boxes"
----------------------------------------Nooooooooooo Unlucky. I've just had Windows demand a scan disk and lost a segment. Boinc was the program that took the hit so I'm running now on the latest and greatest 5.8.15 - very pretty. It's a sure sign I need to get that data onto a new drive (or 2) pdq LarryC we know you will be back and there's plenty of time with which to do it. I've set up a tent over a Jake's for a few weeks. I was planning to do this before the challenge, and got side-tracked with all the excitement. I'll be back later.

I've had to power down old trusty
---------------------------------------- he was making a ticking noise yesterday which is a sure sign those disk drives are on the way out (that and all the complaints from the SATA Raid Controller) So better be safe than sorry until I can get hold of another disk drive to transfer all those original WAV files from Arun Community Church to somewhere a little more reliable So I'm down (but not out) to just the Webserver running UD Chrunching while I still can Dave |

----------------------------------------I Guess its time for an update on our Team Captain. Diana is waiting for a new PC to show up. Also she is going through a Move to a new Apt. This will involve setting up a new Cable acct for her online also. New apt, new PC, new online. Sometimes it all hits at once! I know she would want a little prayer for her now and then till she gets back here... She has other issues that can make all this stuff harder for her than most and she'd kick my butt for whining for her.... She never does.... God Bless Her!! I miss her posts here.
