Re: Christians are giving... come give with us!

I have never seen us so far down the listings. I thought I'd give the team a bump

None of us made it to Church this morning from Autumns Towers

Sometimes (Only sometimes wink) it's nice just to take the time out and appreciate our Familys, Friends and the World around us.

Have a great Sunday

Dave

Re: Christians are giving... come give with us!

Hi all.

Not sure if there are any stats watchers out there. I'm having a temporay boost. We're "breaking in" a new Machine at work and I got WCG installed on it. It'll only last a few days, but that is more work done for our team and research.

cool Christians are giving... come give with us!

Hi David W
I think of it as the more WUs crunched the better!
Like the Lottery... you never know which "one" is going to be the Winner!
Glad for your good news.

Re: Christians are giving... come give with us!

Great Idea Dave

I've recommended it to a colleague who is having memory troubles on his home PC. He has found he has dodgy memory chips as a result of the WCG Load test.

It's producing some good results

I took out a P4 yesterday it's PSU overheated and shut down as it processed a back log of a month and a half of Call Logging. It could cope with the usual drip drip of calls but the avalanche of data put paid to it.

n.b. Nothing to do with running the WCG agent I must add.

Now if we had loaded tested it using the WCG we would have been prepared for that dodgy PSU fan wink

I hope when I go in today it will switch back on worried

Have a great Wednesday everyone hugs

Dave

Re: Christians are giving... come give with us!

A new PSU is easy, I lost the root partition on one of my Linux boxes last night. Sometimes using an older drive isn't a good idea, or at least not for the root partition. I've salvaged most of the root partition, and a majority of the file system is distributed on other drives, but I still need to rework the mount points to properly reference the other drives. A task for later today.
