Welcome to WCG, hendouding.
----------------------------------------I should not worry too much at the moment. To find out if your PC is running the sofware properly; first double click the World Community Grid icon in your system tray, then click the icon which is shown as 'i' in a circle. If the 'Current Protein' graphic at the right side of the screen is seen to be moving at all, the software is working as it should. The team that you have joined will most likely contact you with further instructions when they see that you have posted here. If they do not do so, ImLadris Fellowship will be very happy to have you become our first member from China. I wish you the very best of good furtune. |

Thank u for replying me. I've seen that moving graghic, and I the progress is now reaching 4% which make me happy. Yet, my point still remain 0, how will it raise? HOHO..
As for the team problem, i may wait for several days to see if they will contact me. But do u know how can i contact them ? I cant see any information of them except for their research statistics. HO~ Im still not so satisfied with writing in English, express in non-mothertone is never a nice feeling to me. But i may get used to it. o, can u leave your means of contaction to me? Ive just have a MSN :hendouding@hotmail.com or my email hendouding@sina.com ( i dont like the email service provided by hotmail) :) I'll go bed now . Hope u will have a nice dream( forgive me that i dont where on the globe u r , and that's only what i can say )1 |

Sleep well, hendouding.
After some one contacts you at your email address, you will probably want to edit your post to remove the email address, since this is a public message board. Best wishes, Lawrence |

hendouding.
----------------------------------------Uploading and downloading work units: When your progress reaches 100%, one of two things will happen. A. If you have a Broadband modem connection, the completed work unit will automatically be returned to WCG, and a new one will be downloaded to your PC. B. If you have a 56k modem connection, you will need to connect to your ISP in order to send the completed work unit, and to download a new one. Your Points: You will then be able to see the points that you gained for the completed work unit under 'Member Information' and to the right of 'Total Points'. You can also check your personal and team absolute totals by clicking on 'MEMBER AREA' and logging in to WCG. But these absolute totals are updated only once each day, so you will have to wait until the first update after the day on which the work unit was returned to WCG. I hope this will help you understand more clearly what will happen each time that you return a work unit to WCG. Your chosen team: As I do not know which team you have joined, it is not possible for me to let you know how to contact them. Maybe the Admin of these forums would be kind enough to help you with that problem. Sleep well. |

Hi Hendouding,
Please do not apologise on a language which is not your natural laguage.. .. remember: you learned to walk by falling on your face several... ( and it my case millions ) of times ( grin ) This is a global community, the common language is english, and keep in mind that most of the members do not speak/write or read any chinese.. So keep posting and reading on this forum and do not feel ashamed if you do not produce postings in perfect english.... You'll learn by doing I'll hope to see more postings of you or you team mates in the future.. In the meantime .... keep the Cpu smoking Regards |

I second that. Even some us who are suppose to speak English don't speak or write it as well as we would like.
Besides I never came across an illness or a disease that recognized any language so as some in this place have said crunching crunching crunching our CPUs are crunching. By the way WELCOME. |
