Re: Select Computer??

Select Computer allows to connect the BOINC Manager to a client on another computer on the LAN/WAN/Internet to which you have permission / access. This way you dont ever have to get off the proverbials to check how other computers you run are doing.

Added: Link to The BOINC Manager manual . Below is a link to the BOINC FAQ for much more info and there is also the Help button right hand top of the WCG screens.

Re: Select Computer??

hit ctrl-alt-del to bring up TaskManager to see in the Process tab if the local projects are running? I'm sure you've solved it too before you read this :O

Added: Seems ivang below had a bad experience.... always use the ctrl-alt-del to bring up Taskmanager, but maybe if that mouse jump to the cancel button (it should not), a process gets erroneously killed????). The alternates in windows are to mouse to bottom of screen and right-click to bring up menu with taskmanager option or this ctrl-shift-esc.

Re: Select Computer??

You better hit Ctrl-Shift-Esc to go directly to Task Manager and avoid erroneously clicking unwanted button on the window opened by Ctrl-Alt-Del smile
