Me too - I've gone from having over 11 Million points to 32K
---------------------------------------- Perhaps a post over at DC Zone is needed..... Edit: Posted at DC Zone for Pinky to have a look Update: If you go to DC Stat and edit the sig, then continue without changing anything it appears to kick it back to life again ![]() [Edit 3 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 21, 2007 11:15:42 PM] |

The edit tactic only works for a short time and then things get scrambled again. I've read reports of smaller than expected and significantly larger than expected statistics.
----------------------------------------Hopefully DC will let us know what is going on before long (on vacation, bad database, needs more money, etc). |

I just had a look at things - it looks as if they recently put in a limitation on the number of times you can query the server in a given timeframe... I am getting the following message when the script runs to update the stats:
You have requested this feed too many times within a given time frame. Does anyone happen to know what an acceptable number of times per timeframe would be? ![]() |

Mine looks way low also, so it could be everyone. I put the question to the techs in another place where they'd see it quickly.
----------------------------------------Other than that, the project boxes are looking good. I am attached to several.

Well, I had no problems sucking down my team stats. Seemed slower than usual - 780 seconds for 1,364 members.

I posted a thread in the website section regarding the flood control error.
Didactylos - I'm pulling individual user stats via RSS feed, I guess it doesn't like it making 400+ querys consecutively... ![]() |

The edit tactic only works for a short time and then things get scrambled again. I've read reports of smaller than expected and significantly larger than expected statistics. Yep - my stats sig has gone back to 32k points again ![]() Edit: Looks like at update time it gets borked again due to the flood control - Mousie explains over at DC Zone: it won't work at stat update time - the reason it works is because it is only querying the page one time. database says there are 427 unique usernames with a wcg statbar....so when the script that updates runs, it querys those 427 names individually, as my options are to either go through the 300k+ list for the 427 users i need, or to make a small query 427 times. querying 427 times is more efficient for me then trying to filter through 300k users... so what's happening right now is, it will retrieve person a's stats. it will store those stats for person a. it moves on to person b. it tries to query the stats for person b, but wcg flood control says you can't. the script is currently written such that, if it can't get person b's stats, it will use person a's. moves on to person c....if the flood control still doesn't like it, then person c will also have person a's stats....and so on. hadn't considered this scenario when writing the script that retrieves the stats - it can be rewritten to wait a set period of time, but i need to know what the flood control is at to make sure the overall process stays efficient....as it currently takes at least 2 hours to run through the stats for ALL the projects dc stat currently supports.... Hopefully the Techs can say what the query limit is so Mousie can amend the script. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 22, 2007 7:36:37 AM] |

I've throttled things down a bit for now - let me know how things look in about 2.5 hours.
