First, thank you for the quick reply to my previous query. Here are more details. I am currently running a United Devices Agent, and I have checked all projects except the Fight Aids project. I have not checked the box that allows other tasks to be run if there is no work in my current project lists. I have been running the fightAids project for about a week now, and don't know why. I have not checked 'Participate in all projects'. I'm not sure why I am running a project I haven't checked, but I'd like to disengage this run, or at least be assured that I won't get any future runs I haven't checked.

I am currently running a United Devices Agent, ... I have not checked the box that allows other tasks to be run if there is no work in my current project lists. Paul, I am wondering: if you have seen this box about "allowing other tasks to be run etc...", then you were updating the profile for the BOINC agent. The profile for the UD agent does not have this box. Could you please check? Cheers. Jean. |

Paul,
----------------------------------------based on your stats, it looks like you've been running a single job for a long time as nothing has been send in for the last 102 hours. Which project is it that you want? With 1 device registered, the My Grid > My Projects option should be enough to modify. Once saved, it takes till the next job to have effect on your agent. FA@H jobs are are very long on a slower computer. If you don't allow the program to run enough hours per day, it will never reach a Checkpoint Save and restart each time from an earlier checkpoint. If you don't want finish the long job after the profile change is applied, go to Taskmanager (Ctrl-Alt-Del keys or right click on Start Bar for Windows), find the WCGRID_AutoDock.exe and terminate the process. You will get the points for the time computed and a new job. Of course it's better to let the job complete as WCG would have to resend an interrupted job to another member for processing. cheers ![]() PS. There is a Language selector right hand top to see this page in French, Spanish, Japanese and soon Simplified Chinese. HCMD has finished, so if you selected FA@H+HCMD, you would only get Edit: Correction / Strike out.... thanks Jean ![]()

Sekerob,
----------------------------------------It looks like I have forgotten the general "My Projects" page which has the magic box... HCMD has finished, so if you selected FAAH+HCMD, you would only get HCMD On your side I think you wanted to write "you would only get FAAH", no? Cheers. Jean. |

There is one other common cause for this situation. When reinstalling the agent, it is quite easy to end up with a different member name to the one you originally registered. If this happens, you will have two sets of project preferences, and it is easy to look at the wrong one.
To rule this out, open the agent and look in the top right corner of the main screen. It should give your member name as "paulcassell". If not, you have two member registrations. |
