Shirish,
----------------------------------------Would you have, by chance, entered a restricted period of the day in the "Connect to the Internet only between:" parameter of your active profile? Just a guess, though. Cheers. Jean. |

The option for time restriction only works if the "Network Activity Based On Preferences" was selected in the Activity menu. I hope you do not have a global_prefs_override.xml file or are running the 5.9 or 5.10 alpha / beta BOINC clients as those versions will create such a file (if you entered the times locally e.g.).

I wish there were an easy way of determining the active preferences, and how they were derived. I feel a feature request coming on....
At the moment, preferences can be derived (in whole or in part) from the global website prefs, from a web based device profile (depending on the host "location"), from an Account Manager, from a local override file - and all of these can be overridden by the host specific activity settings. It's a miracle anyone can make it work at all! |
