My thermometer says 101 outside--on the way home from work today my battery light came on. Lucky for me we have a Chevy Dealer here in the land of nowhere. Unlucky for me it cost 461.00 to replace the Alternator and two light bulbs--but they did it in one hour and a half--there went my next cruncher  72º F/22º C here (101º F is 38º C) with a dew point of 55º F/13º C and wind speed of 24 mph/39 kph (it is Chicago, after all -- LOL). Sorry about your car problems -- $461 would buy a nice little system these days. Keith and I were looking at some cheap refurbished e-machines on Tiger Direct yesterday. A Core2 Duo w/o monitor was about $350! With a KVM switch, you could grow a nice little crunching farm for that price. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 20, 2007 1:17:42 AM] |

We lost gherm and Liam1985 from our active crunching ranks today. With the change in due dates and the smaller WU sizes announced the other day, I suspect we will see a short drop in our points until the change works its way through to everyone.

It's time to start a new team thread but I want to try to get the graphic for the header updated first. We've dropped one spot since we started this thread and will probably drop one more soon. I've dropped Graham a note that he will hopefully see. I'm hoping he can just update it to remove the rank.

I've dropped Graham a note that he will hopefully see. I'm hoping he can just update it to remove the rank. The other three bullets need updating as well (656 Years of Runtime, Over 712 Thousand Results and Over 168 Million Points). Perhaps these should be left off as well to make it "maintenance free". Well, this thread went quick. We're still at 656 years of runtime, 712,000+ results and 168 million plus points from when it was updated for this thread so we're okay with those for now.

I know its a little off subject but is anyone looking forward to getting the last harry potter book. It is my little guilty  pleasure. I already prebought the book and cant wait to pick it up.Hello Hintsala you know i have heard a lot about those books but i have never read one of them--I hope you enjoy it You should check em out they are actually a good read. Very entertaining Hintsala -- I missed your earlier post. I just LOVE the Harry Potter books and am waiting with bated breath to read it as well! Have you seen the movies so far? I have been quite pleased with those as well. It is sad that the series will come to an end with this book. I wish that J. K. Rowling would figure a way to continue them -- pehaps with Harry going on to pursue an advanced degree in wizardry and then returning to Hogwarts as a professor and perhaps later as headmaster. The first team I joined when I started with the WCG was team Hogwarts. Unfortunately, nobody from that team made appearances here in the forums, so I joined MyOnlineTeam where the action was and still is.
