That is a bit vague.
----------------------------------------What WCG projects did you ask for? Are you running BOINC projects elsewhere (If it connects elsewhere, it should connect here.) Let's wait until you dry out and check again. I assume also that you attached BOINC tools/project correctly to http://worldcommunitygrid.org If there are still problems, you might post your numerical device ID and copies of relevant BOINC messages.

okay, it says the login was nott succesful.
In the register "Projects" it says "waiting for schedulerquestion" (or something like this). The manager says: ----------------------------------------------- 01.01.2005 06:48:11||Starting BOINC client version 5.8.16 for windows_intelx86 01.01.2005 06:48:11||log flags: task, file_xfer, sched_ops 01.01.2005 06:48:11||Libraries: libcurl/7.16.0 OpenSSL/0.9.8a zlib/1.2.3 01.01.2005 06:48:11||Data directory: C:\Programme\BOINC 01.01.2005 06:48:11||Processor: 2 AuthenticAMD AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ [x86 Family 15 Model 43 Stepping 1] [fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 3dnow mmx] 01.01.2005 06:48:11||Memory: 1023.48 MB physical, 2.40 GB virtual 01.01.2005 06:48:11||Disk: 127.99 GB total, 110.27 GB free 01.01.2005 06:48:11|World Community Grid|URL: http://worldcommunitygrid.org/; Computer ID: not assigned yet; location: (none); project prefs: default 01.01.2005 06:48:11||No general preferences found - using BOINC defaults 01.01.2005 06:48:11|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request: Project initialization 01.01.2005 06:48:11|World Community Grid|Requesting 1 seconds of new work 01.01.2005 06:48:12||Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 01.01.2005 06:48:12|World Community Grid|Scheduler request failed: peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificates 01.01.2005 06:48:12|World Community Grid|Deferring communication for 1 min 0 sec 01.01.2005 06:48:12|World Community Grid|Reason: scheduler request failed 01.01.2005 06:48:13||Access to reference site succeeded - project servers may be temporarily down. ----------------------------------------------- Nothing more...- my username is byspeed Hope i get help :) |

Give your system date and time a kick to the present and things might start running ;>)

01.01.2005 06:48:12|World Community Grid|Scheduler request failed: peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificates That was a clue. I have one computer that will not set the date and time after a reboot. I always have to check it.

actually all the lines of the log you posted give the same clue.... seek and though shalleth see the light: 01.01.2005 06:48:11
----------------------------------------The logic (+/-): If it's 1.1.2005 on your part of the planet and you would receive a job that has to be done within 9 days and on my part of the planet it's due on June 17, 2007, BOINC would compute that you are never going to make it, hence will not get work from the get go.

...and as it is a Boinc problem, why is this thread in the UD Agent section?

It should have been in the "what year is it now?" section, as it turns out. Bad computer date/time could affect both UD and BOINC as well as everything else.
----------------------------------------Going in, we can't always assume that the member knows what setup he/she/androgynous/it is using. It would be nice if things were in the appropriate area, but many just shove things out there without reading. The advisors here can only advise. The administrators only very rarely move threads around. I can't even assume the sex of the user. One of my college friends as a "he" is now a reassigned "she".
