I keep trying to change from BOINCstats team to MyOnlineTeam in BAM and have done it for 7 of the 8 projects I run, but the WCG keeps showing this message at every attempt.
----------------------------------------World Community Grid. No response from project. This is starting to really annoy me now. Why is it happening with only WCG? |

WCG doesn't currently support doing that sort of thing using an account manager.
Sorry, you will have to do it manually for WCG. |

Thanks for the quick reply mate.
----------------------------------------I quit the one team and joined the other from within WCG, then started updating BAM etc. But BAM still insists that I'm a member of the team I quit. |

BAM will figure it out eventually.
Account managers are a newish addition to the BOINC system, and (in my opinion) grafted on rather crudely. |

What's going on now?
---------------------------------------- According to MY GRID, I've returned 7 WUs and scored 483 points today, but the 'Work done' numbers at my end haven't changed all morning. Also, it appears that all of my validated returns were validated today. When I try to update I keep getting the message 'Communication deferred 00:0?:??' Can someone check this for me please? |

I think you need to read up on how BOINC works. It will save a lot of confusion.

With the BOINC system, you get credit when the work is validated. Sometimes validation takes several days. Your totals are updated twice a day (check the FAQ forum for the current schedule).
When you update and nothing happens, that's because there is nothing BOINC needs to do. "Communication deferred" just stops you hitting "Update" too frequently. |

Thanks, but what I'm saying is this. The results have already been updated once today, and I have made progress there, but no change has appeared in Projects/Work done on my local host. It is constantly showing 23825.85 under Work done. If points etc were added at the first of today's updates, they should surely have shown up in the totals at my end by now.
