Re: quit a member

I don't think that's possible. Why do you want to remove this member?

Re: quit a member

From looking at the team setup, they have to voluntarily quit. The team Captain can't cancel a membership. An option to think about is to notify the members you want to keep that your cancelling the team and have them quit then startup another team under a new name then notify them to rejoin except the member you don't want.

If the team members are opted in for email a captain to member email can be send. If not, it can be done by communicating in a team thread, but that depends on how delicate the relation is.... Anyway on the particular point, you have a member with near duplicate name, no scores, so likely a stray registration. The person who created the name, just needs to sign in with the 'wrong' name, go to My Grid, hit the My Team link and operate the button.

Re: quit a member

I probably missing something obvious, but I can't see how it could matter whether someone is on one's team or not. It won't stop them from posting to the the team thread - or any other place that's generally accessible. Team members (except captains apparently) don't have any access to information about other members beyond what is available to anyone who signs into the forum.

I belong to team Mensa and I don't even know who most of my team members are. They either don't visit the forums or they like keeping a low profile. I'm cool with that. They show their support by contributing - that's good enough for me.

I don't want to seem insensitive, but honestly, it seems like a non-issue. If the mere thought of someone being on your team is offensive to you, I suppose I can understand that, but is it really anything to get upset about?

Here is Team Mensa membership info (I clicked on the "find a team", entered "mensa" in the search box, then clicked on "mensa" from the list, then about half-way down the screen under "team member details and statistics", click on any of the sort options, such as "member name" like I did:

(I just figured out how to do that about 2 weeks ago biggrin )

Re: quit a member

GavisconQueen, don't tell me you got ambitions to join our 16th annual jaywalker society parade. Twisted Sister will be performing at the next show, if they're not disbanded by then. It does require the mastering of the top hat trick (Tommy Cooper style) shhh

hodingi, you may want to contact support@worldcommunitygrid.org to explain your issue.

cheers

Are you kidding??? It was just last week that I was (and still am) trying to master the fundamental skill of RTFM 101!!! Plus I'd need to brush up on my Twisted Sister knowledge:http://youtube.com/watch?v=Gs37NSLy3z4 dancing

... and as far as the top hat trick stuff, whoooah... thats WAAAAY too advanced for me! <<I am not worthy>>
