I have some dual homed pc's running BOINC here.
One nic is connected to the local network, the other nic is connected to the internet (directly, so no proxy or firewall). When I start BOINC it will connect to the internet and down/upload work. But after some hours, when work is done, the BOINC software report they can't connect to the internet. When I restart BOINC it works fine again for some time. I already set the internet nic as first in Adcanced Settings, disabled the default gateway on the local NIC, but no luck. Even version 8.16 didn't solve this. Any ideas how to make this work? |

How many pc's? can't you just use a cheap router to connect internet/network and just stick all the pc's on the network side?

Hello microkid,
That is a new problem to me. The only similar problem I recall had a computer losing Internet access after several hours. But your computers are still connected to the Internet, only BOINC cannot connect. I hope somebody else has a clue. Does your BOINC Manager ACTIVITY tab show normal unsuspended network activity?
