Please advise re how I can remove this software .
I keep getting an error when attempting to uninstall via the control panel on Vista -- saying program is still running. I've tried putting it in Snooze mode to no avail. Thanks. |

Thanks for pointing out that omission in the Vista knowledge post in the Start Here forum. Suppose if you hit the Ctrl-Alt-Del keys in that sequence and hold, that the Task-Manager will pop up. Find the process "UD.exe" and terminate. Alternate, there should be a program icon in form of the WCG symbol in the System Tray (Start Bar), right click and exit.
----------------------------------------Opposed to the old WCG(UD) agent, BOINC reinstall will sense if the client is still running and stops it. On a Vista machine, probably you having a multi-core CPU, the BOINC agent can do multiple jobs simultaneous, thus recommend to migrate. cheers
