starlings on Otmoor

An astonishing thing to see. This was filmed at the Otmoor wildlife reserve of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds near Oxford, England.

what's even crazier to think about is how the European Starling got to America.....from 60 birds that were introduced because some guy wanted to introduce every species that is mentioned in Shakespeare...

(Rare!) Helen Keller & Anne Sullivan (1930 Newsreel Footage)

You’ve all heard about Helen Keller and her teacher Annie Sullivan.

Now, thanks to this vintage footage from the 1930s, you can see Keller in the flesh and discover how she learned to talk (then eventually became an author, lecturer, and champion of many progressive causes). It’s worth watching, particularly through the stirring finish.

Just another reason to keep on keepin' on...Why I crunch and why I'm here:

12-year-old Abby plays "Keep Holding On" by Avril Lavigne.
This video was recorded in honor of Taylor Love, a beautiful young girl fighting a rare form of cancer called neuroblastoma.
Please watch this ... Keep Holding On
