We deeply mourn the passing of a great french jazzman:

Claude BOLLING-born Apr10,1930 ,dead on Dec 29,2020

Disciple of Duke Ellington, Claude Bolling was a famous composer and arranger of many musics for films(Borsalino above and the big hit La Madrague for Brigitte Bardot) and televisions.
Claude Bolling founded his first jazz orchestra at 16 years old.
In 1956 he created the "Claude Bolling Big Band " that lasted till the mid 2010 years, so the world longest career for such a formation in jazz music.
He was well known for his "cross-over" interpretations and compositions mixing classical music and jazz
