Is it possible to merge two Member names and delete the other?
I found I created two Member profiles one by the UD client, while the other by BOINC. Thank you. |

Hi nihangshah,
----------------------------------------the subject of merging member names and devices e.g. after a software reinstall, has been discussed on these boards almost weekly. 1. No Member names cannot be merged. When registering a software reinstall there is the box to tick "Already a member?" Failing to select that will force the creation of a new / different member name. 2. The point 1 software reinstall will create a new device in the database. Merging a previous and new device registration is on the wish list. Presently it's only possible on pure BOINC projects, which WCG is not as it deals with 2 different agents whose results get combined into a single database. Sekerob

Hello nihangshah,
Merging is not possible. You can reinstall on one machine, using the 'previous member' check box so that both computers will use the same member name in the future. Lawrence |

Any idea when this issue will be resolved. Is WCG still using the UD client? Please refer my post on another thread
