One of my team, Haldav, has been returning results but his results are not showing in the team results, despite his being listed as a team member;

He is listed in the team as haldav but what is listed on his agent? He needs to make sure both names are the same. Tell him to open up the agent and see what name is listed in the member area.

Well, his personal stats look rather empty and having registered 4/26/07 and not returning a result since 5/13/07 suggest that (s)he is running, if (s)he is running, a device/devices under a different member name.
----------------------------------------I've seen the member name many times passing by in the Recent Threads list, so is active. In that case, maybe Haldav opting in to receive mail from the captain, and the captain opting in too in the My Grid > My Profile, could generate some direct contact using the mail function. The question to ask is: What member name shows in the UD Agent main screen right hand top that is collecting the points. If running BOINC, the member name shows in the Projects tab with the accumulated BOINC points (Advance View if on BOINC >=5.8 . Sekerob

Thanks for your help!
We have now determined that his Agent Name and his forum names are different. The Agent name is his true name, and it is this one that he wishes to alter. HOW is this done?? |

2 steps in the My Grid > My Profile pages:
----------------------------------------Rename haldav to haldavold and save Rename Realname to Haldav and save Alternate, Join the Team in the My Grid > Join / Find A Team. Points for the team will only count from the joining point till the quitting point We seen a case where for obscure reason the posts did not move and stayed with the new name i.e. Haldav keeps all the posts...... no guarantee. Thanks, Sekerob, I have been talked through that. Now I am waiting for my next upload to be 24 hours old, to see if it worked.

 I saw your introduction in the "Post your old Grid.org name here" thread a while back  When being talked thru something here, take a good pace distance as flailing arms is part of that method of assistance or you end up with

Well, gave the exact instructions to someone else, rename old & save, rename real to haldav & save. The person as noted ended up to retain his posts under old name (here it would be haldav). Trust the logging out and in took place as else?
----------------------------------------1. Sign In as haldav, go My Grid > My Profile and rename haldav to haldavold and save. 2. Sign out, clean cookies/cache from web browser 3. Sign in as Harold Davidson and go My Grid, My Profile and rename to haldav and save If Harold logs in after the exercize as 'haldav', he should see the points showing immediately under the new name. Not aware that there would be a time factor to consider for the changes to take effect. Okay, lets first join Harold to the team of choice, so points wont go lost for whoever he wishes to join. TTYL

Maybe the simplest way would be for 'Harold Davidson' to join the Team and let everything else stand....
