This kind of thing spoils a good sport

Hamilton yielded the place he gained by cutting the chicane back to Kimi and then overtook him again. I'm with you blanco_ivan

The best driver won a thrilling race on a great day of F1 Motor Sport

Now Ruined

What do Lewis and Mclaren have to do to win the World Championship?

Re: The Formula One Thread

Well it was a stupid action to begin with. He mentioned he had no option but to crash or to cut the corner but he forgot that he put himself in that position.
Why not back off and become safely second or wait for a better opportunity. His direct rival is Massa on which he would have gained points. Now he lost points to Massa, at least there is some justice in that.
The rain came unwelcomly late but at least it was not a boring race. biggrin
A couple of days and we will see what another traditional circuit will bring.

Re: The Formula One Thread

You know what the answer is this weekend for Lewis thinking

To just put everyone else a couple of minutes behind him

Winning it appears is not enough to become a World Champion

He can do it

Go for it LH

Re: The Formula One Thread

I think Kimi fancies his chances here but I'm sure Lewis will come out fighting.

When I saw this, I thought that he'd let him (RAI) regain the lead, but I know how the stewards think. If Lewis had let Kimi go completely by I'm sure the LH would still have won the race.

My personal opinion is that Lewis is the best driver out there(DUH!), and he acts in a much more sportsmanlike manner than either of the Ferrari drivers.

BTW - When Lewis ran into Kimi in the pit lane, I've never seen an explanation of WHY the red light was on, during a safety car period. If you let the cars come in, why not let them go back out. I can't see any reason for that, the field has to line up behind the safety car anyway so WTF.

Rant over.

Well, at least we have an unusual line up for tomorrow's race. It's a strange sport when the weather can have such a difference.

Is it so strange? The weather makes a lot of difference (not always obvious) to most sports. That is how the bookies make such profits.
