Re: Formula One 2007 Season

Final paragraph of the inquiry will hurt the team some what
The actions of the team in the final minutes of qualifying are considered prejudicial to the interests of the competition and to the interests of motor sport generally.

The penalty to be applied is that such points (if any) in the 2007 Formula 1 constructors' championship as accrue to the team as a result of their participation in the 2007 Hungarian Grand Prix wilt be withdrawn.

The team is reminded of its right of appeal.

Re: Formula One 2007 Season

Fisichella demoted to 13th on the grid

Giancarlo Fisichella will start today's Hungarian Grand Prix from 13th after being docked five grid positions for blocking Spyker's Sakon Yamamoto yesterday.

The Renault driver was judged to have impeded Yamamoto for virtually an entire lap during Yamamoto's second run during the opening phase of qualifying.

Fisichella's penalty means that seventh-placed Robert Kubica is the only driver in the top ten who will start from the grid position that he qualified in, following the earlier decision by the stewards to relegate Fernando Alonso to sixth for his actions in pitlane late in the session.

Re: Formula One 2007 Season

Nice to see Hamilton win!
Shame that Maclaren will not benefit from the victory-due to the stupidity of Alonso,- who should in my opinion be sacked! Plenty of good drivers would give their all for a good car!

Re: Formula One 2007 Season

Yes, Ron Dennis has got a lot on his plate but it's happened before when two very good drivers are fighting each other in the same team.

Re: Formula One 2007 Season

Den wish I had something...WRC finished their Finland race and Germany is this weekend.

Since F1 Turkey isn't until the 26th, I can report the Germany Rally instead. It should be interesting since Sebastien Loeb has won it for the last 5 yrs. straight.

Here's onboard camera with Loeb in 2004 Germany

and here is one outside of car drooling

Exciting race!
