Problems Attaching

Trying to bring up another machine this afternoon, getting this error:

5/8/2007 12:37:30 PM||Fetching configuration file from http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/get_project_config.php
5/8/2007 12:37:31 PM||Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
5/8/2007 12:37:32 PM||Access to reference site succeeded - project servers may be temporarily down.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Q

Re: Problems Attaching

Well, it would appear to be a broken alpha (5.9.9).

5.8 attaches fine.

Re: Problems Attaching

Questar,

Thanks for reporting the bug, but to resume you will have to downgrade back to 5.8.16 or whatever latest recommended version there is for the respective OS you are running on.

Just did the first alpha 5.9.10 attempt on WinOS and it worked fine. Notably the benchmark values are still haphazard and at times half for the integer part (Dhrystone).

As always, know what you are doing with alpha's and beta's and be prepared to report bugs at the BOINC development forum or alpha mail list.

cheers
