This book is really good! It is hard to put it down. I'm about a quarter done so far.

Re: JP´s Books Thread

Just finished Darkmans by Nicola Barker, one of the shortlisted books for the Man Booker prize last autumn.

A great romp of a book with over 800 pages that still leave you yearning for more.

Re: JP´s Books Thread

Just finished the last of the Aurelio Zen mysteries by Michael Dibden called End Games. And, it really is the last because he died suddenly last year.

I'm not usually one for detective stories but this series set in Italy as Zen gets posted to various regions gives a fantastic feel of real life there so that you can almost see the various types and taste the local food. Well worth a try if you haven't come across them yet.

Re: JP´s Books Thread

Non-work related books:

Recently read:
Sun of Suns and Queen of Candesce by Karl Schroeder (sci-fi) - I highly recommend this series

Currently reading:
Deadhouse Gates (book two in the Malazan series) by Steven Erikson

Work-related stuff:
A pile of books about software testing. Fascinating stuff, really.
