I registered last Week, and had some problems (WCG incomplete) so I downloaded blank, but was not getting any work.
Tried to help, and it was suggested that I detach and then reattach. To reattach you need a URL for the project, but I have been unable to find that. Can anyone assist? |

----------------------------------------www.worldcommunitygrid.org was added to a few more places in the help pages recently, but the quickest way is actually My Grid > My Profile to see the url. DON'T prefix http:// The BOINC 5.10 version will actually have a list to pick from, of all the available BOINC projects..... makes it even more easy to get going. Obviously the only correct selection is World Community Grid :D cheers

Hi Serekob.
I wasn't getting anywhere so I tried the skype contact, and in the end he suggested to detach and then my key no to reattach. on trying to reattach I need a url to attach, but cannot find the aids url to attach. My Grid just says stats are being updated and to wait. earlier it was 24 min, and has been 00.00 for the last 10 min.........  |

boinc does not show the aids project........ sneokie, there is no specific url to only get the aids project, just use the one i gave above. After, go to My Grid > My Projects and select FightAIDS@Home and select the 'Alternate work" option. FA@H phase 2 is expected to end in the near future. If it ends, it will ensure other work will be send to your computer. Make sure to hit save. The next FA@H phase will actually be entered as a new project. Announcements will be made when the time is there. sekerob

Sekerob, I checked and the aids project was ticked, and I did the alternative, but on going to the boinc manager, following detaching, it automatically puts be on to the the start of the attach to project sequence, and the next stage is to provide a url, hence the request.
