I write as I wait for my Mother to join our Lord Jesus Christ and so to be with all of her love one that have gone before her in Christ. My heart is heavy, for I will miss her for awhile, but it is also happy that she will live on with My Lord, and I will be with her again someday soon. Amen! (((Larry)))

I found this at Shout Life and thought it a good one for our
Team Thread. God bless us all. "Desperately, helplessly, longingly, I cried, Quietly, patiently, lovingly God replied. I pled and I wept for a clue to my fate, And the Master so gently said, "Child, you must wait." "Wait? You say, wait! " my indignant reply. "Lord, I need answers, I need to know why! Is your hand shortened? Or have you not heard? By Faith, I have asked, and am claiming your Word. My future and all to which I can relate Hangs in the balance, and YOU tell me to WAIT? I'm needing a 'yes', a go-ahead sign, Or even a 'no' to which I can resign. And Lord, You promised that if we believe We need but to ask, and we shall receive. And Lord, I've been asking, and this is my cry: I'm weary of asking! I need a reply! Then quietly, softly, I learned of my fate As my Master replied once again, "You must wait." So, I slumped in my chair, defeated and taut And grumbled to God, "So, I'm waiting ... For what?" He seemed, then, to kneel, and His eyes wept with mine, And he tenderly said, "I could give you a sign. I could shake the heavens, and darken the sun. I could raise the dead, and cause mountains to run. All you seek, I could give, and pleased you would be. You would have what you want - But, you wouldn't know Me. You'd not know the depth of My love for each saint; You'd not know the power that I give to the faint. You'd not learn to see through the clouds of despair; You'd not learn to trust just by knowing I'm there; You'd not know the joy of resting in Me When darkness and silence were all you could see. You'd never experience that fullness of love As the peace of My Spirit descends like a dove; You'd know that I give and I save... (for a start), But you'd not know the depth of the beat of My heart. The glow of My comfort late into the night, The faith that I give when you walk without sight, The depth that's beyond getting just what you asked Of an infinite God, who makes what you have LAST. You'd never know, should your pain quickly flee, What it means that "My grace is sufficient for Thee." Yes, your dreams for your loved one overnight would come true, But, Oh, the Loss! If I lost what I'm doing in you! So, be silent, My Child, and in time you will see That the greatest of gifts is to get to know Me. And though oft may My answers seem terribly late, My most precious answer of all is still, "WAIT."" - Anonymous |

Thank you Robby.
---------------------------------------- I wanted to share this with Larry mostly, but it is for all of us: TODAY'S INSIGHT A Friend's Death No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him (1 Corinthians 2:9, NLT). Dear friends: As I stood at the graveside of a friend who had battled cancer for several years, my mind raced back to preceding events, and how in His sovereignty God had used them. It was that very cancer that had resulted in her receiving Christ, along with all of her family. As I had previously met and prayed with her and her husband, their attitude was not critical, or unhappy, or as though they had been discriminated against, or "Why is God doing this to us?" Instead, their attitude was, "We're grateful for this cancer because it helped all of us as a family to receive Christ and, in the process, receive not only new life for this world, but eternal life in heaven." Also at the gravesite, a thought occurred to me for the first time in my life. I remembered that heaven is described as a place of such great beauty, where eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9). Then I thought about other passages about heaven, its beauty and magnificence. It suddenly occurred to me that the most beautiful, and exciting, and wonderful moments of my friend's life was her last breath, and the next second following her last breath. That moment was more important than her birth, more important than her marriage, more important that the birth of her children, and more important than all the honors and successes of her life. The most important moments of her existence were her death and the split-second following her death. The Scriptures say to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. So, at that very moment, she was instantly in the presence of our great, incomparable, Creator God and fearless Savior, who died for her. My departed friend, now with the Lord Jesus, had learned the greatest lesson in all the universe. That is, no matter what tragedies or heartaches may come our way, nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:39). He is constantly reaching out to help us, to encourage us, and to bless us. This realization further motivated me to tell everyone who would listen about Christ. From this day on, may all of us take advantage of every opportunity to encourage others to also receive God's great love and forgiveness in Christ.
