Re: Quote of the Day

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming WOW... What a ride!"

I don't know if he made it up or heard it somewhere, but a retired Special Operations CSM uses that as his email sig.

Slight variation on that quotation (the "feminine" version, perhaps rose ):

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.'
